Designed for post-surgical assessments and improvement tracking, this tool allows you to assess range of motion of the knee in different positions, exercises and orientations using nothing more than telehealth software and a standard webcam.

About PhsyioROM 

PhysioROM is a digital goniometer. The tool is designed to ease clinician's transition to telehealth by helping with telehealth assessments. 

Development of the PhysioROM software application aims to further reduce cost and improve efficiency by developing AI-based solutions to automatically recognise joint range of motion, allowing clinicians to monitor and measure remotely via a video interface the progress of patient’s recovery. All reporting is then saved in Data Collections of your Coviu account.

The Technology

The technology that powers PhysioROM is called 'pose estimation'. The algorithm uses a type of deep learning called Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs). The algorithm was trained using gold-standard motion capture (mocap) data from 50 people at CSIRO and UWA.
